Our designs are focused on ownership or rentals for those with middle and small incomes. A tight envelope and good insulation are important to keep utility expenses low. We like to think of a Tiny space for a Tiny cost in a quality home. That home should cost 25-30% of income and provide a tiny home at a cost of approximately $1/sf/month. Therefore, our homes for individuals might average 350 sf. in 1 room plus a bathroom. For couples or families, the home would be larger. The initial cost will certainly require a partnership agreement.
Construction formats can vary greatly and depend on local zoning or special use permits
- New builds, possibly 3 Tiny homes of 350sf at the same time for efficiency of the building trades on site
- Home renovation (as with TD1) when Tiny principles can be applied
- New cabins or Tiny homes delivered to a site, completed, and installed to utilities
- Tiny homes on wheels on an approved long-term site
- Commercial property renovated to Tiny apartments or Tiny condos
- A hotel, converted to long term Tiny rental suites with amenities (workout room, pool, café, etc)
- A school, with former classrooms converted to Tiny apartments and common areas including new build Tiny homes on the property
